Tsunami Japanese caricature in Malaysia Reaping Protest

Kuala Lumpur - One of the major newspapers in Malaysia, Daily News, drawn protests from many in the country because of the edition, Sunday (13/03) contains the caricature of the tsunami that struck Japan.
In its issue, the Daily News includes caricatures of Japanese robot hero, Ultraman, who ran as pursued by the flood.

Suddenly, the loading of these caricatures drawn protests from various circles, especially in cyberspace. They express a sense of not setujunya through twitter and other social media

Some have considered that the loading of images Ultraman tsunami pursued as a form of media insensitivity to the suffering people of Japan. Therefore, they urged the Daily News to immediately apologize.

Not only from the public, some politicians both from ruling and opposition party of Malaysia, also voiced a negative opinion.

They assess, caricature tsunami in the Daily News does not reflect the people of Malaysia that sympathy for the disaster that struck the Japanese people.

Top loading of the controversial caricatures, Daily News editor to submit an apology in its issue of today (03/14).

"Referring to the illustration of Japan's tsunami tragedy that became controversial in our issue of yesterday, we want to explain that we do not intend to make fun of or show a lack of concern over the disaster,"wrote the Daily News front page.

In fact, according to the Daily News, to show sympathy to the tsunami in Japan, the media has made a tube disaster to facilitate the community to give assistance to disaster victims in Japan. "Cartoonist we also apologize for drawing that has drawn controversy."
